Mind numbingly stupid eBay questions...
Jun. 12th, 2005 06:45 pmNow I'm new to selling stuff on eBay so this may well happen all the time but I ask you to first look at my eBay auction here. Now read the following questions I was asked:
Q: Hi there Can I ask: 1) Is the phone fully working? 2) Does it run a Symbian menu system? 3) What is the reason for sale? 4) Does it come with a memory card? 5) Would you accept £45.00 for the 7600 on a buy it now? 6) Will you ship recorded 1st class for security? Thanks
Answers to every one of these questions is in the item description itself! All apart from question 5 where I'm not selling a 7600 and I certainly wouldnt want to sell it outside of eBay for £45! I mean, I'm just dumbfounded but the stupidity of this guy... he's obviously not read a word of the item description.
Is it worth responding to this or should I not bother?

Date: 2005-06-13 07:44 pm (UTC)Ah well, most people, when they get caught in the spirit of an auction and are bidding against someone, it's not the money which counts, it's the sense of winning. That's why they call it "winning" an auction, to give you a sense of achievement when you do get the item. It all works out nicely for the sellers though ;)

It still makes me smile when you see a "winning bid" email!
Winning the game of more money than sense, bit like Lotto!
Works out nicely for Ebay as well :)
