The way things are going right now, I'll be going to San Francisco on my own...  Maybe I shouldn't have been so hasty to buy my tickets.

I'll get there if I damn well have to swim.

Calgor found tickets to SFO on Virgin for just over £300 :D

Afraid I'm going to be unsure til mid-october - but on the upside, repairs are not as expensive as I had thought, so I'm not going to be in the situation of having taken out a silly loan :D

My point is, with all this about Virgin's flights, I will be going on my own as I've booked my tickets with UA. Don't I feel the prat?

Scrub that last comment, even if I wanted to fly on the special rate flights for Virgin, I couldn't as they only had a small number of the special rate tickets per flight and all the ones for my date are booked.

Can you cancel and rebook with someone else?

Possibly, I've just left a message on my travel agent's voice mail (she's there until 9pm apparantly). I checked my receipt and it says I get charged for canceling after ticketing, but I don't know what ticketing is. Presumably when the ticket is printed.

Righto, just spoke with her. Apparantly there weren't many of the special price Virgin tickets issued in the first place and the ones for my dates have already been booked out. I could get cheaper Virgin flights if I went out Friday (being 2 extra days there) or the Monday (one less day there). I do much prefer Virgin as I've used them before and very much liked the service and inflight stuff, but I can't afford to stay the extra days and taking the extra day away makes it less worth the trip (don't want to go just for the con).

Gah, I was gonna say furs couldn't organise a trip to a petshop nevermind a US con. However hundreds of them seem to find their way there every year so... :P

Im sure people will pull the finger out

My problem is that sometimes I feel as though I'm the only one doing the organising and if I didn't bother, no-one would do anything :P

The words 'Piss up' and 'Brewery' come to mind.
