The day today
Oct. 22nd, 2001 10:46 pmHad a decent day today and yes this IS a Monday O-o
Started the day with an on time train to work that gave me enough time to buy the new Aphex Twin album - drukqs from Our Price on the morning of it's release (wasn't even on the shelves yet so I had to ask for it), have time to buy breakfast and also catch the train from Waterloo that I usually get to work so I wasn't late!
*Happy happy, joy, joy*
At work, I didn't get shouted at all day although it was quite busy... was as if the phones would never stop ringing at once stage - One call after another. Erf.
After work, I made my way to Leicester Square and to the Trocadero to meet up with AceFox and play some DDR before the coffee meet that was due later. We played about 6 or 7 rounds in total. Ace did a few extra than me as he wanted to do some of the silly 'Exorbitant' tracks even though he said he had blisters from the last time he did that on Saturday. I got a perfect game of 'End of the Century', by not missing a step and getting the AAA rank :o). We also saw a mad oriental guy do amazingly well on hard modes and also do really funky freestyling... Was a shame we had to go on after him - the croud quickly disappeared! :oP
We got to Starbucks for the coffee meet around 7.45pm. The coffee meet wasn't due until 8pm but we expected at least one person to be there. Absolutely NO-ONE was there before us so I got myself a nice Iced (Like Slush Puppy or ICEE) Mango Citrus Tazo to cool me down as I was sweating buckets...
Marcony arrived shortly after 8pm but no-one else had shown up and I had to leave at 8.10pm having not seen anyone else. Walking to the Tube, I stopped by the old 24Hr (Rip off!) store that I used to buy all my useful goods in while I lived in the area. Picked up a Lizard Fuel Sobe and a Galaxy Caramel - mmmm, nice!
I managed to hurry my way through the Tube as my train from Waterloo was at 8.30pm, not leaving me much time. I again got really hot due to the humidity and heat of the tube and began to sweat loads once more. I made it to the train though and got myself a decent seat and melted.
Had to have a shower once I got back as I was so smelly :oP. Was worth it though, had a good day, especially for a Monday. Topped off the day with a nice spicy Chicken Tikka Masala!
