Gah! I'm drunk on a Monday O-o!

Yup. I've been down the pub with Glis and Martin Dudman. Had a fun time. Lost most (all?) of my games of pool and drank 4 pints. This was (ashamedly) enough to get my quite drunk however.

I wish that I had gone up the pub with Glis mor often. It seems that only after the announcement of us going our seperate ways have we been going to the pub more and enjoying another's company more... Go figure. Last Thursday was the most fun I've had in ages with Glis and his mate, Neil down the pub. I ended up turning the pub into an eighties theme pub by putting Eurythmics - Sweet Dreams, Yazz - The Only Way Is Up and Inner City - Good Life on the jukebox :D. Only now do I learn the addictive powers of the jukebox - forcing the entire pub to listen to your chosen music ;)

Bleh. I go sleep now. Hopefully I won't be hungover in the morning.

Less than 4 weeks before I leave for the states!

Yep. With all this crap that's going on (The move and stuff), I've not had any time to be excited about my holiday which is less than a month away! :D

I'll be off to Boston with bhavfox on Sunday 7th July, meeting up with nomadfox before being picked up by white_wolf and stay over at her place in Springfield, MA and entertain ourselves (Including a visit to Six Flags - Whee!) before going down to Philidelphia, PA for Anthrocon.

Yay! Can't wait - so close now, nothing can stop me this year! :D

Betting ends!

Yesterday, I had a strange feeling of deja-vu thinking that Ireland were gonna win 2-0 today and would be the first time that they've scored more than 1 goal in a World Cup finals match. I had the feeling so strong, I put £20 on it at Blue Square. At 6/1, I stood to win £140 (£120 profit) if I was right.

Turns out my "deja-vu" was infact me catching them saying that they needed 2-0 to qualify and havn't ever scored more than 1 goal in a World Cup finals match from the radio as I heard it again this morning... Oh well, was still a very possible outcome seeing as it was against Saudi Arabia who were beaten 8-0 by Germany and Cameroon beat SA 1-0...

I was exctatic when it did come to 2-0 in the second half but then they went and got the third goal at the last minute! Bah! That's the first and last time I place a bet :P Good job it was only £20 :)
