Hayfever strikes
Jun. 19th, 2002 07:21 pmSuprisingly quiet day at work for a change which was a good thing cos I experienced my first real hayfever symptoms ever. I had a headache, sore throat, sore eyes, unable to concentrate (Sort of hungover feeling), sneezing, etc. I've never really been affected by pollen before but for some reason, my body chooses to react now...
I woke up at 5am feeling like shit but I went to sleep for another hour or so and took some paracetamol and felt good enough to go to work. Hayfever symptoms are very uncomfortable and can put you off your work considerably - didn't really get too much done today :-/ I guess I'll have to start buying those hayfever drugs now just so I can go through a day of work.
I feel much better now however so I guess I'm over it for the day. Got a nice ikkle 9" fan too to help keep me cool in this stupidly hot summer which is nice. I've got Friday off, not really so I can watch the game (England vs Brazil) but mainly so I can get my stuff packed and get boxes and stuff. I'll probably pop in to Bromley for the last time ever too and see what I can do about getting some perscription sunglasses before my holiday. My parents will be arriving on the Sunday to take my stuff back to my new (old) home so I need to be prepared before then...
Um, enough for random thoughts compiled into one paragraph, I go now.
