Argh! Dilemma time!

OK, I just found out that my parents had arranged a pub lunch type meal on Saturday in honour of my Mum's 50th birthday. However, on the same day, I'm supposed to be going to London for the fur meet to help celebrate both Glis's and Shinji's birthdays. Now, I couldn't really care for missing a meet as there will always be another one but I regard both Shinji and Glis as good friends and would like to celebrate (Get drunk) with them...

Then on the other hand, what sort of a son would I be if I was unable to attend my Mum's 50th birthday? This is a milestone birthday so I think I owe it to my Mum for all the work she's done for first of all giving birth to me and then putting up with me and looking after me for all these years...

I really don't know what I should do. I want to do both of course but each has their good and bad points...

Dilemma over

OK OK... I the guilt has got the better of me. Sorry Glis and Shinji, I'll be spending the Sat evening with me Mum. This still leaves me with needing to find my Mum an appropriate present. I think I know what to get her... Tickets to see Brian May and Ben Elton's "We Will Rock You" featuring songs by Queen. My Mum's quite a Queen fan so I think she'd appreciate it. Blooming expensive though... Like £40 a ticket! But she's my Mum so I think she's worth it. However, I don't want to go ahead and buy her tickets as a) I'd be really buggered if she didn't want to go and b) You have to choose a day for the show so it's not all easy. I'll have a word with her tomorrow morning as she's driving me to the train station.

In other news, I've been throwing emails too and forth with Obviously Odd about potentially making me a fursuit head and stuff. I'll let you know the details when they reply to my most recent email.

Also, I've been un-natually tired all day today. I blame the Night Nurse I took the day before to get rid of my cold symptoms while I slept - I think it's a bit too strong on the "drowsy" side. Anyways, my cold is more or less gone apart from a bit of a blocked now and an irritating cough. I think I'm through the worst of it (Which was Monday).
