Erm... yeah, I had to spend the day wearing almost uncomfortably tight jeans (Not round the waist, round the legs mainly) as all my other decent pairs were in the wash. I bought them about a month ago from a Levi outlet store in Portsmouth but never realised that they were so tight around the legs... It made crouching, leaning, bending and even running a problem - gah!
Anyways, the
storms that occured over the weekend caused many delays for me getting in to work. Didn't get into Waterloo until 8.40am (40mins late) and didn't get into work until 9.20am (50mins late) but no-one cared. They just accepted my excuse. :o)
Got a bit pissed off at work cos again they were asking us to go out of our way for the company for the show our company is putting on at the Barbican tomorrow by asking us to turn up at the Barbican at
7.30am and work until at least 6pm for no extra pay, just a packet of crisps and a sandwich. No-one stands up against the boss about this cos they fear for their job if they did confront him. It takes the fucking piss... Morale in the company is low enough amongst the support staff and now they ask this? It's like a kick in the balls :-/ I've been doing extra work for the company already by doing work on the train (Using that shite company laptop) and get no credit for it, as if it's expected. Forturnately, I managed to wangle my way going of it by being the person who stays behind in the office and takes all helpdesk calls for the day (eek!). I think I'll get myself a nice meal on the company to reward myself :D.
More delays coming home from Waterloo too... This time due to something (A crash?) at Vauxhall... This resulted in a HUGE number of people in Waterloo looking at the screens, awaiting their platform. Left the station 15mins late, got home 20mins late so it wasn't that bad. It gave me a chance to play on my GBA a bit. Getting far into Yoshi's Island (3rd world now) but it's getting harder and more tedious... If it gets any more fiddly, I may give up and just play something else. Also played Puyo Pop agan, I love that game. The story part is really great in that it features bizarre Jap-anime style dialogue and plots... All fun :o)
Oh, I should add that my CABLE CONNECTION IS BACK!!! Woohoo! (Sorry about that but you take it for granted until it's not there... like many things in life)
