Forms and driving
May. 11th, 2003 04:49 pmAnother uneventful day really but I got some things done. I really hate filling out forms and so had put the forms for my new bank account to one side for a while now. So I got them done and also I filled out the form to get me a £30 rebate on my GameCube.
Following on from yesterday, I called up a local driving instructor who really does seem to know what he's on about and he knows the area. Unfortunately, he doesnt work Sundays which is a kind of a blow. He can only work Saturday mornings. £18 an hour but that appears to be the going rate these days. Not bad I suppose. After the call my Dad seemed to have a go at me for wanting to learn to drive because he says once I pass I have to get a car so I don't forget how to drive and I'll have all the taxes, insurance, etc. He really wanted to put me off :-/ I was already not brimming with confidence in the idea and it seems he's successfully put me off. Maybe I should wait a few months and re-evaluate my financial situation. To be honest, I think my Dad's just worried that I'll want to borrow more money off him...
