Today, I made my way off to Winchester to meet up with
hybryd, who's staying with parents for a while. Despite living so close, I've never actually visited Winchester before. Probably mainly due to the fact that there's nothing really of interest there to me and I'm not a great cathedral fan. Went for some fish and chips and sat in the cathedral grounds to eat them. Then went off to the Mash Tun pub for a quick game of pool before retiring to the beer garden (complete with running river behind it :) to slowly get drunk.
pennypenny came down to join us too as she was also in the area. I've known of Penny for ages now but I've just never really ever spoken with her. We spoke talking about various crap like what rubbish people post in their LJ (ahem!) to attitudes of furs and goths. Penny comes across as a nice, down to earth, intelligent girl with some interesting ideas on things. Don't know why I've never ended up chatting with her before. A few pints down, Penny had to get the train back to London so I decided to get the train home too.
Not looking forward to going back to work tomorrow. Even though it's been 4 days, I've been keeping myself busy by being out the house and as a result, the time has flown by really quickly. I'll have to get up extra early and get home much later than normal over the next 4 days as my parents aren't around to give me a lift to the train station. Ah well, it's only for 4 days at least :)
