State of the art
Apr. 3rd, 2004 11:05 amI finally got gprs to work on my mobile phone thanks to O2 sorting out their website and support for my phone. What this means is that I can now view webpages, use instant messengers, read rss news feeds, check email, chat on IRC and best of all, update my livejournal all on the move!
Gprs is charged by how much data you download so viewing webpages isn't a good idea but news and irc barely cost anything :D. Plus O2 are putting the price of gprs down next month so it's all good.
It's nice to see mobile internet technology actually being useful now beyond the novelty factor compared with WAP in it's infancy. Now i really do have the world in my pocket ;)
