1 week until holiday

This time next week I'll be on a flight somewhere across the Atlantic on my way to San Francisco.  It's not really sunk in yet, I doubt it will until I'm packing my bags or maybe I'm at the airport.  I'm pretty much prepared for the trip.  I've ordered $800 from TravelEx which should be enough for the hotels, travel, food and shopping.  Don't want to use my CC unless I can help it.

I'm in a strange mood over the convention itself.  I'm flying 5400miles to attend a convention with over 2000 other members of the furry fandom.  I'm just not too sure what I want to get out of the con anymore.  I still don't know many of the native Americans attending there and I don't really want to go all that way to just socialise with UK furs.  I dunno, I can't really say until I get there if I'll enjoy it or not.  I just hope I will.

I guess I'm feeling kinda uneasy cos I had commissioned chapeljax to make a fursuit in time for the convention but I've not heard anything to even suggest that work has started.  I suppose I should take reassurance that as he's not been online for a while, he's working hard on his commissions for the convention but it would be nice to know that I should still receive it in time.  I never wanted it to be a rush job anyway, I want time taken over it to ensure it's well made.  Ah well, all I can do is keep my fingers crossed.

Ehh, sadly you're not the only one he's doing this exact same thing to - he's also doing it to silverfolfen. It sounds like the very same story to me. :(

I've known Jax ever since I visited him back in 2002 and know him to be a trustworthy person. I think it's just the lack of information is just reason for raising my anxiety. I'm sure everything will be fine, it'd just be nice to hear from him to put my mind at ease.

Well.. I do hope you are right. I really do. My wife has dealt with enough of my whining and worrying about it. The anxiety has torn me down more than a couple times. I've even explained to Jax about this.. and he says he understands.. but still doesn't give me a damn thing... I trust him too, but.. anxiety has a strangle hold on my mind about all this.

I've no worry about him not delivering the goods if that's what you're worried about. I had planned to get the suit for FC as I don't plan to go to any other cons this year so would have been nice to have a fursuit for the event.

I shouldn't worry like I do... as I do trust him. I just have problems with anxiety.. things I should be getting help for really, but can't afford it.

FC is only one of 2 cons I am able to attend for money reasons. My other con if Conifur, which sucked last year. For FC06 is going to be my debut in not only my silverfolfen suit, but another huge surprise for those that know me very well. My Jax suit does mean the world to me though, and I'd never turn down any chance I have of meeting him, even if I have issues with him, I still want to make the maker that brought my dreams to life.

Well, you can drop by perhapes during the con and give this tiger a visit? I am not American but I am from even further away in New Zealand (although been staying up in Canada for the past month or so)!

You confused me by refering to Native Americans. We use that term only to refer to the "Indians". It does not refer to other people living in the USA as we all immigrated here much later.
