I've always said that the DS is a great idea, poorly implimented in the form it currently is. As in it feels cheap, looks terrible and the features all seemed to have been muddled together in a hurry. The games that have been released on the console however have been, in comparison to the PSP, nothing short of fantastic. I read through the game magazines and feel that I'd like to play the DS games but only if the console wasn't so poor. It is good then that I read the announcement of the new DS Lite.

Lik-Sang have them pencilled in at $169 (~£95) which is a great price. Hopefully it feels as good as it looks in the pictures. I'll be preordering myself one once I get my pay cheque (as I can't remember if Lik-Sang charge for pre-orders before shipping).

I wouldn't be quite so harsh on the "full fat" DS, but it's certainly nowhere near as elegant as the PSP. (Still wondering if I should maybe sell it and get a 1.50 firmware unit from Lik Sang.. though, IIRC, that would mean losing WPA support) Still, if they come out with a DS Lite in some fun colors, I may well go for one - the pink model's just too cute. ^_^ (And pretty much out of stock anywhere :-P)

How are LS for delivery times? Supposedly, the three titles from them were shipped at the same time as the other two companies (CD Wow and DVD Crave), but LS' package is still nowhere to be found. It's only been about nine calendar days, so it's hardly sorely overdue, but I'm itching to get into Katamari Damacy. ^_^

Well I had Katamari dispatched on it's release day and I received it on 30th December. Now considering that was during the xmas period, I think that was pretty damn good. I think when I got my PSP from them it took approx 2 weeks tho. Probably thanks to customs.
