Home again
Mar. 31st, 2002 10:40 pmI'm currently back at my parents home sitting in front of the TV typing this on my Jornada 720 H/PC. As the keyboard is tiny, it is taking forever to type anything but I guess it's still better than scribbling on a palm pilot.
Anyways, I suppose I should mention why I'm here and what I've been up to. Well I guess I should begin on the Thursday after work.
I stayed late after work at the pub next to where I work to celebrate the end of the company's financial year. We celebrated with lots of champagne, all paid for by the company. Now I don't really like champagne but as it was going, I helped myself.
I got home around 10.30, feeling quite drunk. Glis had informed me earlier that a fur named Zephyrr was going to stay round. However, Glis was going to be at a stag do so I would be left with the task of greeting this fur who I had never even heard of, let alone spoken to and so when he did arrive gone 11, we must have had the mowst awkward conversation before I could leave him watching Lain so I could sleep.
Next day, I snuck out at around 10.30 to go catch the train. I somehow managed to get to Southampton Airport without having to pay for a ticket (Although I'll probably have to pay for the return journey and the difference in cost between the price of a single and a return is tiny).
After having a chicken roast dinner, I got the bus off to Kashy's where I met up with all the furs there and enjoyed a barbeque that Kashy and Clawz prepared. Didn't go much apart from chat and stuff before leaving around 9ish.
Next day, I had a haircut at 10.30 and then got a bus to TK's where I caught a lift with Calgor to Kashy's. There we played a bit of GTA3 on the PS2 before leaving for the cinema to go see Ice Age. At the cinema, a large group decided that they'd rather watch Blade 2 to seeing Ice Age so I joing the group and saw Blade 2.
Blade 2 itself was an OK film. Wasn't too keen on the original but that was still better than this. There wasn't much of a climax at the end of the film like in the previous one, rather just another Matrix-esque fight scene. It would seem that action films these days only try to have the best looking fight scenes over their rivals. I guess this is what they meant when they said that the way films are made would change after the Matrix.
Film over, we went back to Kashy's for more BBQ foodstuffs before I got a sudden hit of male PMT depression after Orona snapped at me. So I got the bus home before saying thanks and goodbye to Kashy. :-/
Today, I lazed around watching DVDs before going over to visit a friend I'
ve known since I left school. We watched Futurama and then Pitch Black. A few more arrived who I hadn't seen for around 5 years which was a nice suprise.
Went home after the film and sat in front of the TV and typed this. Apologies for the amount of typos and stuff, this keyboard is a bitch - I'm only using my thumbs to type it :P
Back to my real home tomorrow and then work on Tues as they called me in (The bastards... why did I say yes to coming in?) and back on hols for the rest of the week.
