I'm totally addicted to Cadbury's Chocolate Fingers!  Most people who know me will know me as being quite the chocoholic.  In fact there's rarely a day which passes when I will have gone without a hit of chocolate in some form.  However, it seems that when it comes to Cadbury's Fingers, I can't open a box without instantly devouring the entire lot.  And with 30 calories a finger and approximately 1000 calories per pack, that ain't a good thing.  Especially when the local shop has a 2 for 1 offer on them... yes, I actually ate 2 full packs to myself on Wednesday >_<.  I need better will power!

Oh, one good tip for Cadbury's Fingers is that they're a great substitute for a Tim Tam in a Tim Tam Slam ;).

I'm much the same when confronted with a box of Fingers. I used to love the plain chocolate ones :)

It's quite hard to find suitable replacements for Tim Tams.

The last Con I went to me had an Oreo Challenge - with oreo cookies from the USA, Canada, Singapore and England. The differences in flavour were quite surprising.

The obvious UK substitute for a Tim Tam is the Penguin, however Tim Tams have a much richer taste and genetally taste like they are of a higher quality. You can get Tim Tams in the UK, Tescos sold a few varieties of them a while back, don't think they still do. However you can get them imported at The Australia Shop or Cyber Candy, both of which have shops in Covent Garden :)

Arnott's Tim Tams are still available in certain branches of Tesco :)

One thing the Oreo Challenge showed was that even when biscuits are made to "the original recipe" there'll probably be some hideous difference between them. To my taste, USA-made Oreos are best, and UK-made ones come a bit behind, while Singaporean ones are fairly grim, and the Canadian ones are absolutely dire. With Tim Tams the situation would be more confused as there are different types, but none of them are particularly like Penguins...

Well chocolate digestives are in the region of 90 calories per biscuit, although they are larger than Fingers.

In that case, do not go anywhere near an Asda selling Tregroes' Belgian chocolate covered caramel-filled waffles. Expensive, but delicious.
