Just got back from a great weekend at sandroo's place.  I got the train from Leamington Spa at 19.02 and the route I was taking predicted me arriving at my destination station at 22:58 meaning I would have got home around 23:30.  However, I got an earlier rail replacement bus than scheduled in my itenary, and I also got a lift from my brother at Winchester so I got home a good 1hr 30mins early :D.

I'll post a detailed post about my weekend later.

What, they actually let you know about a late train's bus replacement in advance? That's got to be against some clause of the franchise. ^_^;

It wasnt a late train bus replacement, it was a bus replacement for a train route due to engineering works.

Geez, you must have been really unfortunate. I've no idea why the phones you called didn't answer, but on Saturday we were mostly at the house save for a visit to the pub and later, Sainsbury's. On Monday we were only away for a few hours again to go to the pub for food.

Next time, be sure to get my number too before you plan on making a suprise visit :)
