Rude awakenings

I was having such a good dream last night.  As always, I can't remember the specifics but everything was going right for me, I felt like the luckiest guy in the world.  In the dream I was also contacted by chapeljax (the person making my long delayed fursuit) and he was just about to say something but just at that moment, I received a text message on my phone, waking me up at 4am.  Gah, how annoying.  I got back to sleep but I think I'm going to feel groggy for the rest of the day now.

When I woke up for real, I went to check LJ and messenger to see if there was any truth behind the dream, but sadly not. Over 3 weeks ago now, I was told to expect my fursuit to be done in 2 weeks. I've emailed Jax twice since but have yet to get a reply. I'm starting to get very worried that I'm going to be going to my second furry con in a year without the fursuit I was expecting to bring... (note, the fursuit is now a shocking 7 months delayed)

Edit: Working it out properly, as it was due for FC, it's actually 6 months overdue, not 7. Still a long time to wait...

I'm still in shock at how delayed your suit is. It's absolutly aweful.
You should post something in the fursuit community, might be a bit harsh, but so is a 7 months delay to be fair.

I'm still waiting for the Shepsuit. I expect it to be here by the time EF comes round, but if it isn't I will still enjoy the con sans Shepsuit :)

Awww, I know how it feels to be woken up in the early hours of the morning, and in the middle of a nice dream. My favourite dreams are when I am a Tiger, the only bad thing in those dreams is, I am often running away from Damn Humans, (I do prefer to be away from the madding crowds.
I am also awaiting for a delayed fursuit, I did have warning bells ringing, so I ordered another from another company, I hope it gets to me from america before FC, Or I may decide to bottle out.

That's quite shitty, when you pay for a service, you expect service. I guess perhaps excluding personal problems or something which may have caused a delay, but 6 months? Have you already paid for it?

6 months longer than I would have left it. All I can say is that the quality best be worth it. Thankfully tho, all I can say is that through your bad dealings with it, I certainly wouldnt think about commissioning said individual - if your going to take peoples money, you need to work to a deadline.

Sorry, kinda in your face comment, but thats just how I view things...I take business very professionally.

Your fursuit will be worth the wait. Jax makes good stuff and you don't want a fursuit rushed.

Wow, glad I'm not the only one a little steamed about the issue. I just posted a little tale of woe in my own journal about Jax. I've waited 2 YEARS and have seen squat. :( Two years! *snug*

Well the first deadline was 19th January 2006 so I would have the fursuit for FC. I was told all the weay up to the point of the con I'd get it. Then while at the con I got one email to say that I'd get a partial and then a second to say I wouldnt get it at all. Of course that led to me having a fairly depressing con. Now I'm going to another con, EF. It's on the 23rd Aug. I really need to receive it here, in England on the 18th for me to have it for EF... I've not seen a photo or anything. I did get an email after some fairly persistent badgering that "come hell or high water" she'd get the suit done in time for EF. I've nothing since then and of course with the second deadline quickly approaching and simply no news from Jax, I see myself attending a second convention without the fursuit I had intended to attend with. If that happens I'm seriously going to spread the word that Jax is a liar and demand a refund from PayPal for non-receipt of goods.
