Furmeets.co.uk Update
Jul. 23rd, 2006 11:29 pmJust a quick post to say I've made an update to furmeets.co.uk where I've stripped out all the formatting code on the homepage and done it all with CSS, making the main meet list table look prettier in the process. As it's all done with styles, it shouldn't be too hard to adapt the rest of the pages, it'll just be a matter of removing the formatting code and outting in the correct references. In the process of learning how to do table formatting with CSS, I learnt how to make tables with the tbody, thead and tfoot commands which makes it easier to style and more logical to code.
Ah back to work tomorrow and back to doing support work. The boss saw my Root Beer site on Friday and he was quite impressed with it (despite the fact it's essientially just one page and simple code). If only I could show him my furmeets or SlyCat site, he could see how well I can code and maybe even give me a better go at coding at work rather than just doing support. Ah well, as nice as that sounds to me (I want to get away from customers), I know how our existing coders are treated at times, and I think that's not something I'm too keen to experience.
