In a follow up to my previous post, I've just got back from the hospital...

Basically the nurse found the lense stuck down the bottom of my eye and was able to pluck it out with a pair of freaky looking tweezers while my eye had been anethetised.  It was a great relief to know they there was actually something there and I wasn't just being a hypocondriac, put my mind at ease somewhat.  I've been given some ointment to apply to the eye 4 times a day and I'm not to wear contact lenses for 2 weeks (considering I got into this due to my own stupidity, I'm not put off from wearing them).  Now I've got a bit of feeling back in my eye, it still feels a little sore but I'm sure that'll be fine soon enough.

You poor thing! :(

I've always been wary of contacts owning to the risk of something similar happening to me if I ever have to use them :/

To be fair, the risk is small as long as you're sensible and careful, unlike me.

I think you both look fine in specs. If I ever need vision correction, I'd go with bins without hesitation :)

Today at the furry outing to the Anglian Wolf Society, I noticed that out of an attendance of eleven furs I was the only one present without a pair of glasses.

At Friday at the cinema, I was the only one out of five.

After your story, I'm counting my blessings.

Eep! I thought I'd had that happen to me one time, but I eventually found the errant lens stuck to a desk leg, looking rather desiccated.

Seems rather daft to me that the NHS doesn't offer a cure, such as Lasik, rather than just support for glasses, contacts, and exams.
