and of course, myself.

Went up with Rapido by car after work, getting to our destination around 11.15pm, mostly thanks to a virtually non moving M25, but we helped pass the time by recording a crummy video blog.  Trip back was better as we bypassed the M25 and went via Oxford.  As we hadn't really stopped at a service station, it only took more like 4.30hours.  I checked in on Andy Squirrel who left the same time as us but was going via M25 to drop folks off in London.  When we were passing Winchester, he was still on the M1 about to join the M25 :P.

Anyway, as for what we got up to, there was a lot of lounging about chatting, and watching stuff, exploring the streets of Hull, a bit of a fursuit dance and a walk about in fursuit.  I wimped out on the fursuit walkabout, mostly due to the fact that I wasn't to sure how people would react and stuff, so I wanted to basically be an observer this time round.  I took the oppertunity to record the majority of the walk about, capturing about 30mins before the batteries in my phone gave in.

Many thanks go out to FoxB for inviting me along, and for hosting the party.  Also thanks to WolfPaw and Orona Red for helping make tasty foods.  Obviously thanks to Rapido for driving me up there, as otherwise I wouldn't have been able to go.  And thanks to everyone else I met there, old and new people alike :).

My photos are up at http://www.furmeets.co.uk/gallery/thumbnails.php?album=87, however they were taking with my Nokia N93 which seems to have quite a bit of noise on taking photos and is liable to blur moving objects, but I made sure I got a snap of everyone present so I could remember who I met.  Just need to work out LJs for everyone now (edit: that's pretty much done now).  I've a good 1.26gb of video I recorded using the phone too, including the travel videoblog and 700mb walkabout video, maybe see about finding a way of uploading them, possibly You Tube.

I'd ben inclined to use Google Video, as they offer the option to download files, without the need for futzing around with KeepVid, and then transcoding the FLV into something more useful; and the AVIs they offer (well, GVI - basically the same thing, though QT7 doesn't seem to like their audio multiplexing. Mplayer and VLC are fine, though) are the original size, rather than their own 320x240 version.

Or, just plop the MPEG-4s or whatever onto yousendit.com and let the digital locusts descend. ^_^ (Max file size 100MB, but that ought to be fine, unless you're re-enacting Fight Club with fursuits)
