Lucde Tuhv!

So yeah, after much worrying, it finally arrived today, no thanks to City Link of course who should have delivered Saturday. I've been spending all evening playing with it, spending most time using the Xbox 360. The Xbox 360 just looks absolutely fantastic on the screen! Though of course, I really need to get myself the HD-DVD addon for the 360 now... I've had a taster of what 1080p films could look like with a WMV file of Over The Hedge I have (but the Xbox seems to struggle playing it smoothly for some reason).
I was very suprised as to how good the signal from Freeview is as I'm used to seeing Freeview on HDTVs which have a poor feed fed to them over a splitter in TV shops. However like I say the picture is actually quite good. I might even say better than the SD channels from the Sky box. Only problem I've had with the screen is getting the TV to reckognise the HDMI/DVI cable I have for the laptop. Seems to be fine from the laptop side, however nothing on the TV. Might be the cable, I'm not sure.
Anyway, I'm utterly pleased with the screen, I just need more HD inputs to take advantage of it really! Oh, for those interested, it's a Samsung LE40F86BD, new model released last week. 40", 1080p, 100hz, 6ms response, 25,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio. Really does the business.
And yes, it's ready for the hood ;)
Edit: Ooh, I think I may have fixed the issue with Over The Hedge not playing smoothly, it seems ironically due to the 100hz setting in the TV. With it disabled, looks fine :)
