Just came back from seeing Wall·E with [livejournal.com profile] tktiger and [livejournal.com profile] andysquirrel which came out yesterday (Yes, I know you Americans had the film before us again but at least it wasn't delayed by months like Ratatouille was). I'm very impressed that Pixar had decided to make such a bleak story. It seemed a bit strong for a kids movie but then I don't think anyone but Pixar could have got away with it and I guess part of the point of the film is to encourage kids to look after the planet, etc. That aside, there were a lot of funny moments and oddly a great romance tale between the main two characters. Whereas Kung Fu Panda had funny moments and characters but a weak story Wall·E is a much more complete film. Very much recommended :)

Hehe, I had intended to mention it but it seems I forgot. Yes, the short before the film, Presto was very funny indeed and had the whole audience laughing. I would probably go to the length of saying it's their best short yet :)
