HantsFurs X-Mas Meal
Dec. 14th, 2008 12:19 amHad a great time at the HantsFurs Christmas meal today. The meal was organised by BH at Frankie & Benny's in Leisure World in Southampton. I think it must be the first year everything went without a hitch. We didn't have to hang around for ages before being served like we did last year at TGI Friday's and when we were served, everyone got what they ordered pretty quickly and efficiently... even if it was with the help of the waitresses calling out our furry names to deliver the food which I found hilarious :P.
The food was really good although my only negative point would be that they didn't have any decent chocolatey desserts. At roughly £20 per person including deposit and service charge, the price was great for what we got. It was a shame that Kashy and Arakin had to drop out but it was good to have their seats filled by Andy and Laz respectively as we were able to keep the numbers up.
I took a few photos using my SE Xperia X1 during the evening only to truly find out how bad the camera in my phone actually was. It not only gives a delay from when pushing the button to taking the photo, there's hardly any flash to speak of and the vast majority of photos were blurry. I should have taken my trusty olf FujiFilm e550 along. Needless to say, I had to delete the majority of the photos but I uploaded the best of the bunch to my meets site:

Thanks again to BH for organising a great meal. Maybe 2009 will be even better!
