It's been a while since I got an email about people looking to feature furries in a TV show they're making. This time, they're looking for furries who want to get married and "would embrace the opportunity to lift the lid on the furry community"...

----

Hi there,

I hope you're well.

I'm working on a brand new Channel 4 series in the UK and we're looking for couples who would like to get married, or re-new their wedding vows, for FREE at our ‘Wedding House’. We're looking for couples from all walks of life from across the UK and we're hoping to feature a couple involved in the furry community - I'm wondering whether you would be able to pass the details on to your contacts within the furry community and/or pop something on your website?

If you know of any couples looking to get married who would embrace the opportunity to lift the lid on the furry community then please do send them my way, under no obligation of course, if they are interested in finding out more.

Feel free to circulate this opportunity, and don't hesitate to shout for more info - melissa.waterson@betty.co.uk / 0207 290 0540.

Thanks for your help,

Melissa

I'll make a real LJ post soon, just not been getting round to it :P

Edit: Looks like this has already been making the rounds as they had been targeting furries on Facebook of all places previously - http://forum.ukfur.org/index.php?showtopic=22129&st=0

Yeah, surely if they have even slightly competent researchers, they'd know that furry = drama :P

No no - weddings = drama!

I hope someone goes for it. And it's someone I know well enough that I get an invitation.

So if furry = drama but weddings also = drama does that mean weddings = furry?

No, no, that's a logical fallacy along the lines of "I can pick my friends, I can pick my nose, therefore I can pick my friends' noses."

They have no sense of presence: surely what the media-world truly needs is to make a prog about a furry divorce (featuring acrimonious wranglings over who gets to keep the PS3, the fursuits and the cub-pr0n collection).

Ill disagree that furries have their own breed of drama. Drama is about multiple people trying to function that cant let egos and other superficiality go...period. Doesnt matter if they are furry or not....its human nature. Period.

But I digress...

Form letters from media pieces always insult me. Usually you can see the lack of effort, wanting you to do the work for these "scouts". Its not like we dont spread this shit through the furry network and compare notes. Get a clue, guys.

"The media just can't get enough of furries"

That's because we've been doing the sensible thing and hiding from them, so they've got no dirt to chew on!!

Free wedding? Sounds awesome... sign myself and Mecks up for it? Hell no!

We'll have our ceremony with our own brand of drama thank you very much!

They only want furries to do it to get footage of a wedding with people in Fursuits, if a normal furry couple stepped up and mentioned that they don't own any Fursuits they'd get dropped very quickly.
