Yep, just got back from what has had to be the best holiday I have ever had. Muchos thanks to [livejournal.com profile] nomadfox, [livejournal.com profile] bhavfox, [livejournal.com profile] mikazo, [livejournal.com profile] chapeljax and the other people I met on my trip for great company but the most thanks and hugs go to our host for the trip, [livejournal.com profile] white_wolf who put up with us, driving us around, enduring our "accents" ;) and everything else.

Keeping this journal entry short cos I've just had a bit of a shock... I was in the taxi home from the coach station and where I was so used to not wearing belts in America, I hadn't got my belt on. (You can already tell what's coming can't you?) The taxi itself was a large 6 seater almost minibus thing but the sets of 3 seats face each other meaning there is a large gap between the rows. We were driving at 45mph when a car in fron suddenly breaked and so we had to make an emergency stop. I was flung across the taxi into the front vertical screen thing and hit my head. It wasn't really that bad and could have been much worse but it really shook me up :-/ I'll never forget to wear a belt now.

Expect a proper trip and AC report soon (Part 1 is already online BTW) as I have nothing to do today.

Bye!

[Hawx] I came back but I didn't bring pie... Instead I brought you a bottle of Vanilla Coke - that OK? ;)

In America, it's law that we wear seat belts. Most of us do, except there are some idiots who don't because it isn't "cool". You should have just ignored them. Glad you're ok though.

Yeah. Where I was so used to wearing belts in the UK, I wore them in America too to start with but as no-one else was wearing them, I felt kinda silly being the only one.

I should have known better than that and just worn it anyways...

I don't wear my seatbelt normally cause I have a horrible horrible memory, thank you very much.

To be honest, I don't hold out much hope for it to come out over here. Vanilla coke is very much a 50's American diner type thing where they used to just put the vanilla flavour into coke (And still do today - or not if Denny's was anything to go by).

There's nothing to stop you just adding some vanilla extract to some coke to achieve the same effect of course :D

I have 6 bottles (500ml) of Vanilla Coke - I wonder if they will last until the weekend :)
