slycat | Same shit, different day

Another mundane day at work down. Three more to go until the weekend again. This is how I spend my weeks. I just start every week counting down the days to the weekend. Then I either waste the weekend doing nothing or they go far too quickly.

Had some success in the job search - Gonna apply for a helpdesk position at Hampshire County Council in Winchester. Not as far to go and they train you with new l33t skillz or something.

I'm more actively searching for jobs now I really must end it in London. No matter how much a part of me says I should stay - 4 years knowledge has got to be useful for getting me somewhere in the company but as the company seems to be shrinking rather than expanding, there is nowhere to move up in the company. Considering I have quite a lot of exclusive knowledge on the software customers use and the systems we use in the office, I see my departure crippling the company somewhat more than it already is. I don't care anymore. If they realised my value, they'd be paying me as such. As I am still getting sub £20k for a london IT job that pays an AVERAGE of £22k in London, I am just going to leave ASAP.

In the slightly lighter news department, I went to Carphone Warehouse at Waterloo today as my train was being delayed somewhat. I decided to try out a 3510 which is very murr and will be going for it when I can. I also managed to waste the assistant's time by finding out when I actually qualify for a new upgrade :D. I'm sure

hawx (Who works at a CPW branch) hates customers like me - I wasted about 20mins of the assistants time and didn't pay him a penny!

I'm still hot even though the temperature is down for the UK today. I hope I don't have have an uncomfortable sleep tonight like I did last night. Heat at night sucks. Heat at work sucks too. Heat only works for me when I'mon holiday or it's the weekend ;)
