Not much to report really hence the quietness on my part. Had been planning to go to Amsterdam with a bunch of friends for my birthday and Paul's birthday (1st and 2nd November respectively) as the flights were rock bottom cheap and would be a laugh. Paul only wanted to stay one night as he is low on the fundage and so keep the hotel rates down. However, through illness on his part and only coming up with the idea recently, it seems the rock bottom prices have started to increase so what was £40/person to fly over has since increased to £70/person as [livejournal.com profile] hawx has since informed me. It seemed like this was an idea doomed to fail... Maybe we'll still do it in the future and probably for more nights but not this year.

I still wanted to do something special, something I've not done before for my birthday and as I've been reading Frank Skinner by Frank Skinner, the idea of going to the local Jongleurs Comedy Club seemed like a fantastic idea. I've never been to a comedy club and it looks like it could be a great night out that won't cost the world. Dom, one of my friends called me and so I ran the idea past him and he said it sounded like a great idea too. Now I just need to round up people who want to come along, make sure we have tickets and then go! :)

In more random news, my Nokia 3510 has already prooven itself to be ten times the phone my Sony J5 could ever be... Just a shame it's bloody difficult to download new ringtones as you have to do it over WAP. Somehow I managed to call WAP today while the phone was in my pocket. No idea how long the call was - hope I've not used up all my free minutes.

As I mentioned earlier, I'm still reading Frank Skinner. However I will most likely finish it come tonight. This of course means I will either need to get me a new book or face the long journeys to London reading the Sun and listening MP3-CDs. Any ideas on a new book for me to tackle? I mostly prefer the more non-fictional of stories that are contemporary and entrertaining but I'm willing to broaden my horizons :)

Oh, I forgot to say, in Reading, where I went on Saturday, they have a Warner Bros Studio Store! I thought that all of those got shut down! I was so happy but I was with my bro so I didn't go in. I definitley plan to go back to Reading sometime soon to go buy lotsa WB merchendise :D

Job search update: Nothing in he recent paper, fingers crossed for the next one. However, I plan to pop in to Reed over the weekend and see if they can help me out. I desperately need a new job.
