After following the advice of [livejournal.com profile] kasyx, I had purchased Clive Barker's Imajica off Amazon. I received it today... Kasyx managed to completely forget to tell me that it's a mammoth book at 1200 pages and is quite a difficult read (For someone who hasn't been reading books all their life). Bleh. I read 2 chapters but felt like I was skipping chunks of it and was reading the words but not taking it in... Kas said that it can be a tough read but it's good once you get in to it - I'll give it a chance yet.

Recently learned a lesson with my new domain server: It's far from as user friendly as before but it's really cheap and good value for money. As a result of not really knowing my way round the admin system, I managed to set up users on the server but not have them forward email to the relevant mailboxes. Instead, all the mail was just going into one "catch-all" account. I've since made "SMTP aliases" for users and so the mail filters into the correct boxes now but there were around 50 emails that I missed in the meantime that went into the catchall account. Thankfully, most of these were just lists and stuff that were sent to me so nothing that would be missed. I deleted it all from there and everything's now running nicely. Plus, I never had to contact the helpdesk once (Even though, I would have probably got it set up faster had I called them)... well excluding the help I got from [livejournal.com profile] makali.

Other than that, generally, I'm feeling much better than I have been. I guess I was just going through a down period. Still no luck on the job front and I've let my weight get out of control recently as I'm now 4lb off 18 stones again (Eep!). Other than that I'm rather content, things have died down at work stresswise and so I should be able to just pile through my existing outstanding workload. Another reason to be cheerful is that my birthday's on the horizon now being a day over a month away. Will be fun to have a proper night out with some friends and stuff.

Laters.
