Got my copy of Evil Dead 3: Army of Darkness, 2 disc edition today. Is a cool movie but never as good as Evil Dead 2. That completes my collection of the special edition trilogy anyway including the Book of the Dead edition of the Evil Dead 1 :). Should watch AoD again with the commentary on sometime soon as they Sam Raimi and Bruce Campbell always do good commentries.
Played a bit of the Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit 2 demo which was really cool (Arcade racing, none of this simulation or realism rubbish - If I wanted realism, I'd drive a car...). However again, when put on max detail, my computer cannot hack it. This happens with Unreal Tournament 2003 too which really shouldn't happen. It's not as if I have a low spec PC, should be quite capable of playing today's games in max detail (FYI, have a 1ghz AMD, 640mb 133mhz RAM, 128mb Geforce 4 Ti 4200). So I've no idea where the problem is. I suspect either the memory or the motherboard itself (As it uses the infamous VIA chipset) but I really can't afford to replace either. Bleh.
Money is low and there's so much I want :P It's not like the old days when I'd just buy stuff without any though about the consequences but then that's partly how I ended up in debt in the first place. I'm terrible with money... I always have to have the latest and best gadgets and gizmos on the market. To this day, I've never really used my HP Jornada 720 (Bit like a palm computer but with a keyboard. Possibly a mini notebook would be a better description) for what it was meant for and that cost £650 originally. I really wish I hadn't wasted my money now as I stand to only get around a third of that back. But that said, I would have probably found something else that's equally useless but "cool" to waste the money on at the time.
Stuff I do need tho includes a new pair of trainers as the ones I have are seriously worn on the inside and are uncomfortable around the back of the heels. Want to get some air cushioned ones to replace them ideally as I've gone 2 sets of trainers without air cushioning and miss the comfort. That's about all I need right now really. Maybe need to think about Christmas present but that said, I'll most likely do what I do every year and wait until the last week.
Still on the subject of money, I cancelled one of my credit cards today and gave Sinead at work the privallage of cutting up the card :) Paid half of my other card off as the total sum is too much (Paying from my loan that is) and I shall pay the other half tomorrow if they let me. Will be a great comfort to not have to worry about credit cards any more. I shall only be using my CC to pay for things online and I will pay it off each month. I need to do this because if I don't I'll never be able to pay it all back...
I did have plans for this weekend. I was actually gonna do some productive stuff such as buy me a pair of new trainers and join a gym. Yes you heard me right, I was planning to join a gym on Saturday as I feel that my weight will go no further down without drastic diet changes (Which I am not prepared to do) unless I get more exercise (As every doctor seems to have been telling me for 5 years). My local gym closes at 10pm on weekdays so I can nip down there after work if needs be. I seriously believe that once I have started going to a gym, I will enjoy it and want to go more. Purely due to the fact that I will be thinking the more I do this, the more weight I lose. Exercise is also a good way to expell stress - something I have an abundance of at the moment.
So yes, I say that's what I had planned but since,
hawx has invited me to London for a day with
scruff,
kiroo and others. Should be fun but the chances are, I'll be putting weight on rather than losing it, unless I have a few games of DDR :P Be nice to see Kiroo again as he has similar interests in movies and music and so is always a great bloke to chat to. No idea what the plans are as such... if there are any plans. I presume things will be made up as we go along.
Feeling rather weird at the moment. Feeling distant. I have #uk open but I'm not reading it and couldn't really care less at the moment. Very few people I really enjoy talking to and I can talk to them through instant messanger programs rather than put up with the crap that goes on in the chat room. I dunno, is weird.
