I've been quiet for a while so it's probably good that I get up to date with the old LJ stuff. (In no particular order)

My computer is now behaving like it's a completely different machine since I reformatted it today... I've always had speed issues with 3D games that shouldn't have speed issues, I've had random crashing / hanging, unreliable explorer windows... The works. However, I simply backed up essential files, deleted the Windows partition and recreate it with the XP CD, install latest drivers over the top and hey presto! Everything's now working 100% better than it ever did! I'm very happy. Been playing all my games today as it's like I've given my PC an upgrade or something. Everything is so smooooth!! :)

OK, should probably talk about that Christmas thing that has recently gone by. Well I bought my Dad a Billy Connolly DVD which we watched on Christmas Day and found really funny, got my Mum some aromatherapy kit from Body Shop and a Delia Smith cookery book which went down a storm and got my brother The Office Series 1 on DVD which I've not heard a word about so he probably didn't like it... From my parents, I got £50, a Red Dwarf Series 1 and a Spiderman DVD, got some boxers and socks, some deodourant, some chocolates and a book which I already have (Ben Elton - Almost Famous). Nothing particularily special but I wasn't expecting much to be honest. My brother gave me the DVD of Re-Animator which is a really gory horror made in 1985. Found that quite entertaining. Also he gave me a really useful mini leatherman swiss army pocketknife thingy. My brother didn't seem to get much that he wanted but then he's rather impossible to buy for as he has everything he wants already... I shall try to do better next year however.

Went to a great night out last night called Cold Turkey 3, an event put on by Adrenalin Music at Enzo's in Salisbury. As Enzo's is changing ownership at the end of the year, this was also named "The Final Adrenalin" and so loadsa people went. The music was great and went absolutely mad when DJ Tim & DJ Misjah - Access was played but I quickly wore myself out and became tired. One of my brother's friends suggested that I took an E so I didn't get tired but I refused (My brother also does not do drugs). Saw a person from my old tutor group from School for the first time since school. He looked like he hadn't changed one bit. As it was so loud, it was hard to make out what he was saying but he seemed to be quite proud that he was un-employed... The night ended at 3am and got home around 4am. I slept solidly until 1pm today ;)

Saw Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers last week with a bunch of furs. I booked the tickets myself and organised the whole thing. All went smoothly, everyone arrived and paid which I was quite impressed with. However, Calgor's friend Vicky was less than impressed with what she got for her money and wanted her money back. From her tone of voice, I don't know if she was joking or not but never-the-less, it left me a bit depressed. The film itself was very long and unlike the first one, there was a whole lot of nothing going on. I was literally dozing off by the end of it but the battle at the end kept me awake. Hopefully the concluding part will be better on a story basis.

Will be seeing The Lion King in IMAX vision in London with TK and a few others on Jan 4th. Should be fun as I've not seen the film in ages. I hope that it's actually sharp when blown up to 3stories tall considering it wasn't originally made for IMAX viewing. We'll see. This is also on the same day as the next LondonFur meet so I'll be there until we go for the film.

Um, err, can't think of anything else right now so I'll leave it at that. G'night.

It wasn't the film she was upset with as she had seen it before. It was because we had "luxury" seating and she didn't think that they were "luxury" and weren't worth £7 when she could get tickets for £5 at Bluewater or whatever.
