Crikey! That was a quick 2 hours!
Jan. 15th, 2003 11:38 pmI sat down for another quick game of Warcraft 3 before bed at 9.30pm and suddenly it was 11.30! I'm certain that it was 10.30 a second ago.
This is the first time a game has successfully eaten my time without me noticing since I first played The Sims (Admittedly I did get bored after not too long due to limited appeal and no incline to pay for the addons which should have been free). I'm not sure if this is a good thing or a bad thing but I can honestly say that Warcraft 3 is a very addictive, engaging, rewarding game. I feared it may have been too easy when I completed the first campaign after about 24hrs of buying it but the difficulty is slowly growing and it's becoming more of a challenge now. It's kinda like Red Alert and all of those games but the story is strong and hols the game together which also drives many varied missions (It's not just build up a base, buy lots of soldiers and storm the opponent's base).
If you've not got it and like RTS games generally, go buy it! (£20 in HMV or £15 when bought with another game in the sale range for £15)
PS. No, again, I wasn't paid to write this by the games company, I genuinely feel this is a really good game. Will be good to play and waste time until Splinter Cell comes out (Which slipped a month to the end of February).
