Whee! Internet problems now fixed!

slycatLooks like the SQLslammer worm that's doing the rounds at the moment has crippled NTL's abilities to access many sites. While most other people are having little or no problems now, NTL continue to fail to work.
However, in a moment of clarity, I suddenly recalled what I did 6 years ago at School to get wround the block of sites that they didn't want you to use. I used Claranet's Web Cache Proxy to get around it and had access to all the sites. Now, I knew that Claranet was working so I went on to their web site and found this page: http://www.uk.clara.net/support/cache_server.phtml. I entered in all that and hey presto! I can access Livejournal and other sites which I was previously unable to.
I'll post a report on the LondonFur meet later once I've had some food :)
