Getting to yesterday's meet proved to be a nightmare in itself. Firstly, after viewing the Railtrack and Solent Blue Line (Local bus company) web sites, it looked like the best way to get to London at a reasonable time would be to get the 8am but. Problem is I had 5 mins to get ready at this time so I was in quite a rush.

Got the bus I was after and the driver seemed to be incredibly slow. I needed to be at the station at 8.45 and with the bus driver being so casual and laid back about everything, stressed me out further. I said to myself that I can't look at my watch until I'm waiting to get off cos knowing I was going to be late would only make it worse. By some small miracle however, the bus turned out to be a good 10 minutes early! Woo! However due to engineering works the train journey took a good 2hrs 20mins to get to London, 1hr longer than normal. This involved a bizarre moment when we drove into platform 1 of Farnborough, reversed out and then drove into platform 4... Train was cram packed too... Not a great experience. Railtrack did suggest going to Reading and then on to Paddington as that would be quicker but there was only a 10 minute gap between trains and I didn't trust the trains to be on time.

Anyways, I got to Kings-X around 11.30 and to my suprise, there was only one person there, Rogue. I wasted time getting a burger and something to drink but Ultrafox was the only other fur to turn up so come 12, we decided to venture off, Rogue and Ultrafox went off to TCR for comic stuffs and I went on to Cyberdog in Camden to take advantage of a special offer they had on for buying their new album, The Acceleration Generation with Cyberdog - The Begninning for £20.

Got to the pub via bus from Camden at around 12.30 and some people were already there. I bought Gothwolf a drink as promised and chatted a bit before they opened the upstairs bar. The meet was eeriely quiet to start out with but people started to arrive slowly but surely. I got mildy drunk, had a good time chatting with folks and avoiding the proles best I could, however I was unfronatune enough not to avoid Anarta's terrible yet random singing. Something he's done before and got upset when he noticed that no-one was appreciating his singing...

I gave Glis the Vanilla Coke I had promsied him which he seemed to enjoy along with a second can to give to Ruin who was absent. Erm, cant remember anything else worthy of note before myself, Budrick, Bhavfox, Makali, Kurtbatz, Pete Darkfox and Kitten set off for Namco Station (Makali and Kitten running off in advance). I came third in my first game of bowling and came fist in my second. I was mostly able to throw the ball down the alley with incredible power but little aim. However, I managed to learn to spin the ball as I thew so that when it hits the first pin, it is more likely to produce a strike, not quite perfected that technique yet however. After bowling, we played pool a bit where I performed miserably before myself, Kurt, Kitten and Ahsha left to get the train home.

The journey home was interesting in that I actually talked with Ahsha and actually got on with him which made a change. I wasn't so impressed with the way that rather than Kitten saying it was good that someone likes the music he likes, he'd rather say "Why did you get that? Because it was on special offer or because it was new?". I think he was going along the lines that I didn't like the music, I just got it cos it was cool or something. Regardless of the fact that I go clubbing to this kind of music...

Bleh, got home around 10pm which was earlier than I expected and found that my copy of The Eye had arrived. I decided to try and watch it cos it looked so good but I ended up falling asleep and watching it in the morning. Not many will have heard of the film because it is an Asian made horror movie. I read about it in Empire magazine where it got rave reviews but it was a limited release, mostly restircted to London. To my good luck, it was released on DVD shortly after. Since watching it, I must say that I am glad that I did. It's in the same genre as Ring, another good asian horror which I've yet to have the chance to see.
