Most pleasurable NTL telephone call ever!
Feb. 8th, 2003 10:07 amWow, this really prooves that it depends on who you get as to how you are treated. Last week, I got a "Final Notice" to say I had never paid my bills. I called them on Friday to ask why I had never been sent a bill and the woman said that the person I need to speak to isn't available and I would be called within 24hrs.
Of course this never happened and so yesterday I got a "Disconnection Notice" saying I had still not paid my outstanding charge and in addition to the charge, I may need to pay an extra £50 reconnection charge!
Gave them a call this morning to find that I got straight through without having to listen to that terrible hold music, straight through to a human which has never happened before... The person I spoke to explained that my bills had in fact been going to my old London address after I had moved from there 7 months ago. This is despite the fact that I had informed them of my new address on more than one occaison and I thought if I'm getting the final notice then they must certainly have my address correct. Anyways, the guy understood my predicament and cancelled the disconnection notice and said I wouldn't have to pay the outstanding amount until I get the bill.
So again, all is well on the NTL front. :)
