The Ring being a very good film indeed ;). That topic not being entirely true considering I'm not dead (yet?!). Even though I had seen the film in crap-o-vision (downloaded from the net) before, I certainly gained a lot from seeing this in the cinema. I missed a lot of vital details from just seeing the downloaded one.

For those who have yet to see it, I will not reveal anything about the plot. I will just say that the film was expertly executed and left me feeling genuinely unsettled! This was like one of the first films that I can recall which actually made me jump from fear rather than just a sudden sound from the film... Yes, very scary indeed.

I shall have to borrow the trilogy of Japanese films which this Hollywood version is based on cos allegedly, they are much better. I've not seen any of them yet but my friend has them on DVD. I have The Eye on DVD and that's very good as an Asian Horror and can expect Ringu to be even better.

Haven't seen the 'Merkin version of Ring. But I'v seen Ringu and the sequel to that.I thought it was bloody great! espesially the cursed video sequence o,O. First film is more psycological, sequel has more shocks in it.Scared the shit outa me...

Would love to get my hands on those!

If I saw any subtitled or even dubbed versions of Ringu or the sequels, I'd love to rent one just to see the difference.

BTW, no idea how it'll pan out but the rumor is that there might be a sequel to the U.S. version based on how well it did over here.

Just something to think about and hope for :)
