Today, I booked two tickets for Bill Bailey's new show at the Wyndhams Theatre in London on the 18th October. The second ticket is for [livejournal.com profile] hawx who is a really big Bill Bailey fan. The tickets are expensive but I reckon they'll be worth it :)

I've never been to see a live comedy act so this'll be my first. Can't wait! Also, I should be seeing Dave Gorman's new 'Googlewhack' show when he comes to Southampton at the end of November. Just a darn shame both these events are so long away!

I don't want any details, just tell me if it's worth seeing :)

However, I do have my reserves because he will have done that show a million times before he comes to Southampton. It'll be suprising to see if he can actually inject any original content into it.... I'd be bored with doing the same show day in day out for 3 months :P

Why do you say "Jammy git"? tickets went on sale today, I'm sure you could get one :)

I'm asuming he does have a sing, he usually does. Often one of the best bits of his shows :)

Seeing live comedy can be embarrassing :P

I saw Peter Kay not to long ago, I laughed so much that I felt I was going to die! I couldnt get my breath! I didnt want to laugh too loud either so I tried restraining myself, which made it worse! But I looked at my friend Janice, and her face was contorted too, with tears streaming down it, trying to get her breath.

I hope you have a nice time :)

Good live comedy is much better than the stuff on TV or radio. I and heaps of other spods went to see Greg Proops live, many years ago. I'd always thought of him as mildly make-weight on Whose Line Is It Anyway, but live he was fantastic!

More recently, I went to a recording of I'm Sorry I Haven't A Clue. It was much more fun than merely listening to it on the radio. Sadly, poor Humph is getting on a bit now, though: we had to sit around for rather a lot of re-takes.
