Has anyone seen that episode of Invader Zim called "Door to Door"? Well in that episode they have to hand out chocolate bars which are made from 95% dust. And oddly enough, that's exactly what Hershey's chocolate tastes like. My parents brought back a bag of them from the states for me but they are just plain horrible. I really don't know how Americans can put up with this shite being called "chocolate"... I bet in this country it would be legally classified as vegelate (dog chocolate) due to lack of cocoa solids.

I'm really disappointed as I thought Hershey's was the best chocolate made in America, if not, at least the best known chocolate brand. Cadbury's and Galaxy are simply in a different league compared with Hershey's and then one stage better, you got the continental chocolate. I think Americans should boycott Hershey's and buy quality European brands ;)

I wouldn't go that far, but I can only eat half a small bar before it gets too sickly. I can eat an entire Cadbury's Bourneville bar in the larger size and still want more.

Sickly isnt the word I'd use to describe it. I only apply the word sickly to a chocolate product when it is far too rich or sweet. Hershey's is neither of those. It tastes dry and sour with the aftertaste of dust.

Eww. Having got accustomed to proper chocolate, when I tried Bournville again for the first time in years, it scarcely tasted genuine. If they'd made a black chocolate-ish candy with a lot of sugar in it, it could hardly have tasted less real.

I now view Lindt 70% as my bare minimum standard of acceptability, with a preference for esoteric Venezuelan single-bean-culture stuff. (-8

I'm fortunate enough not to have tasted bile or have any idea what bile tastes like :P However, I agree that it is absolutely revolting. And when you're a chocoholic like I am and it's the only "chocolate" available, it is a very cruel state of affirs to be in!
