Yeah, got another email. Here is what she said:

"Hi Slycat,

I was hoping that you may be able to enlighten me about the people who wear fursuits in the UK?

The show is really for people that do things professional or amatuer that aren't run of the mill activities in the region and around the country. Obviously for this show to work everyone involved has to be up for being on the show, I don't want anyone coming on to feel uncomfortable doing what they do.

I hope that in contacting you I haven't offended you? We're not out to make fun out of people, this to you is your lifestyle, we were just interested to know how you got into it, how many people in the UK follow your interest, and what it means to you to wear a fursuit?

It would still be good to chat about this.

Cheers
Sarah

Does she need me to spell it out? There is no fursuit culture in the UK! There is no story! It would make for crap TV anyways - especially live!

I've done this 3 days running now. Firstly mention the media emails I'm getting in one post and then have a seperate post. Is probably best this way as they can be treated seperately. These secondary posts are much more boring and mundane anyways but I like to write them.

So what's new? Well I lost my coat on the train yesterday. I put it on the luggage shelf and completely forgot it until it was too late. I called SWT lost property today but they said they hadn't got it in yet, try again tomorrow. Bah. Not the end of the world, I have another waterproof coat which does the job in the crappy weather we've been having recently... Yesterday, the streets outside where I work were flooded in a matter of minutes - I was lucky to get out of London that day apparantly.

Got Spacemonkeyz vs Gorillaz - Laika Come Home album in the post today. I wasn't too sure what to expect. I bought it on the basis that I like Gorillaz and I liked the new track by Spacemonkeyz, Lil' Dub Chefin'. I think it's gonna be a grower - is OK. Some tracks are pretty good but others are not... I'll never be a music reviewer :P I should get the OST to Requiem for a Dream tomorrow which should be good.

Observation time: If you want to wear a Tool t-shirt, is it compulsory to have a goatee beard too? I met Tool fan and now good friend, [livejournal.com profile] mikazo while in America who also happened to sport a goatee beard. Now this on it's own was not worth thinking about (It suits him) but since then I've been noticing lots of Tool fans, all of whom had goatee bears too... Silly yet strange observation. No offence intended to those Tool fans with beards out there... :P

Chessington is still going ahead despite gloomy weather forcasts. It's going to be 19C and showery apparantly. It'll still be fun tho I reckon - rain never hurt anyone (Well unless it flooded...). [livejournal.com profile] kashyfox called me to say that he will probably not be able to make it cos his work didn't pay him properly or something. Is a shame, he really wanted to go as well... Oh well, I'm already planning a possible trip to Thorpe Park so there's hope yet ;) It still looks as though all the tickets will be sold for Chessington as no-one else has cancelled on me yet which is all good :)

I think I've covered everything I wanted to get down now. Until next time...
