It's official, my work is bad for my health!

I now know what causes my gut pains and as I suspected, I knew all along. It's almost certainly stress related. I need to re-evaluate my lifestyle and also get more exercise. This is what my doctor told me today but I suspected this was the case - was just making sure it wasn't anything more serious. I really need to get me a job locally... :-/

Was good to get out of the office just before 3pm today so I could get to the doctors. I had to force my way into the train from work because I was just about to miss it (I couldn't run fast enough up the steps to the platform in my tight jeans!) but the doors didn't slam shut properly. I saw the oppertunity and took it, I pushed the doors outwards again allowing me to get on the train before it departed. Naughty I know but had I not done that, I would have probably missed my appointment as all the trains were delayed again...

I got the limited 2 disc edition of Memento in the mail today! It's Region 1 RCE (Will not play on many multi-region players) but works fine on my computer. The case the film came in is possibly one of the most intricate I've seen. It looks like a file for a patient or something and it has little report cards in it and stuff - all very nice. However, the menus are now more confusing than ever. You could probably spend a week trying to find all the hidden stuff on disc 2! My brain hurts from just trying to navigate it...

Two things to be happy about and one not.

My loan has been paid into my account so I can finally pay off my evil credit card debts! However EGG say my bank isn't authorising the transfer of money. I'll probably have to call the bank tomorrow and see why. Also, I got a £5000 loan. Turns out I only (only?!) owe £4200 so I'll have £800 left over. That'll pay for 4 months repayments for the loan... I must resist the urge to spend some of it!

I have a new bed! It's my birthday present from my parents. You see when I moved out of the house, my parents gave my brother my bed seeing as I wasn't using it and they put in a sort of convertible chair-bed in it's place. However, I've had to sleep on this chair-bed thing since I moved back in July. It's not as bad as it sounds, the chair-bed had a mattress and everything but it was really not wide and as a result, not very comfortable. My new bed is HUUUUGE compared to the chair-bed thing. It has drawers but I'm not allowed to use them apparantly... Just as my parents filled MY wardrobe with their surplus clothing, they've put pillows and thinks in the drawers of my bed :-/ Oh well, I should sleep well tonight for the first time in ages anyways :) One slightly worrying thing is that as I hadn't tidied up before the bed was installed todayy, my parents had to "clean" up themselves. I found my TV remote in the bed side drawer. The same drawer that I put my Anthrocon badge in... blee! I wonder when they ask me what it was...

All plans for birthday celebrations have been persponed. Which kinda sucks as it's always best to celebrate one's birthday on the day or close to the time of it. However, the plans have to be persponed until next week as one friend will be in Birmingham this weekend and as there's not many of us anyways, we've seen it best to wait until next week. What this does mean is that I will definitley be going to the LondonFur Meet on Saturday. Be sure to buy me a pint ;o)
